This is the most boring time of the year

February 2, 2007

I can’t stand the time right after a Patriots season. When they win it all, it’s not nearly as bad because of the obligatory celebrating I’m forced to do (conveniently on the 50 yard line at Qualcomm stadium). But when they don’t, February becomes a major drag. I honestly don’t care who wins the Super Bowl, although I’d prefer the Bears just so Marino can have company in the biggest asshole to never win a Super Bowl category. Vegas has Indy winning, which I’d agree with, but I can still hope for the best.

As you can tell, things have been slow here at the site. There hasn’t been much to report (Seymour not playing in the Pro Bowl. Yawn), so interest has died down. Case in point, the immediate aftermath of the Patriots loss to the Colts netted us over 1700 hits. That’s chump change for a bunch of sites, but for us, that was heavenly. Now, we’re below 40 hits a day and holding steady. I took over this site with the hopes of attracting a larger audience, and I will. But as you can see, it’s hard to have content when there is nothing to talk about.

That will change after the Super Bowl. I have some plans to shake up the site a bit, and I think you all will be happy with them. Except for that Jim guy, he’ll probably hate what I have in mind, but that’s okay. I still love you, Jim.

March brings in Free Agency, and the Patriots are going to need to be players. We’ll talk about that in the coming weeks and then that’ll lead us straight into the draft. I’ve brought back Ricky for draft analysis. He’s gonna be our Mel Kiper, complete with a fantastic hairdo. Look for him to analyze and break down this years crop of draft picks. Andrews will be Andrews, expect him to do some investigative journalism, or post Bill Simmons quotes. Either way, it’s all comedy gold!

Thanks for making us a part of your routine. Stay with us as we make these changes and enjoy a more entertaining experience at PatriotsFanBlog.com. It’ll be cooler than the iPhone!

The header has been looking weird lately, I can’t do much about till wordpress support comes back from vacation. Also the new blog admin should be starting soon, so expect the Patriots talk to start again soon.

New Administrator

January 1, 2007

Hi, its Greg from PatsBlog.  I’m going to be taking over Patriots Fan Blog for the time being.  I’m going to try and handle both blogs, but the articles from the two will be exactly the same.  I’m glad to get to do this, and hopefully we can make a bigger Patriots online community from the two sites combined.

What’s on tap

October 23, 2006

A great win by the Patriots on Sunday, beating the Bills and sweeping the series with them for the year. That’s the third straight year in a row. Nice feat.

However, it’s now time to move on, we play the 4-2 Minnesota Vikings on Monday night and it’ll be the first real test other then Cincinnati. Here at patriotsfanblog.com we will get you ready for the game, and we’ll be starting something new. Here is a schedule for what’s on tap.

Tuesday – *Brady Quinn, QB from Notre Dame draft profile*

Wednesday – Projected depth charts

Thursday – Injury reports from both teams

Saturday – *JaMarcus Russell, QB from LSU draft profile*

Sunday – Full preview

Should be a fun week, and as you can see we’re going to start our draft coverage, starting with our top 20 QB’s, (10) bios.

 Stay tuned.

Off Topic: Patriotsfanblog.com Update

September 10, 2006

First, I would like to apologize for the lack of posting this past week. Ricky and I have been busy dealing with school and work. And we hope to get back to our normal blogging frequency soon.

Secondly, I would like to ask if there is anybody who is interested in joining our writing team. We want this blog to be well posted in this season with all the Patriots news that Patriots fans can handle. I are looking for knowledgeable Patriots fans that love to talk and write about the team.

Thirdly, I have been thinking about adding a blog, for the upcoming season. It will most likely be setup like this. So if you want to blog the Celtics let me know and I will set it up and make it apart of patriotsfanblog.com.

Lastly, if anybody does podcasting I am interested in starting a Patriots podcast for this blog. I will probably not be apart of it, but I will make it the official patriotsfanblog.com podcast and post it every time you do a show.

We are hoping to add many great things to this blog for the upcoming season, so it will be a great place for Patriots fans to view daily. We believe our ideas are good ones and hope they will become a reality.

If anybody is interested email me at patriotsfanblog@gmail.com or leave a comment.

New Feature (Won’t Be Used Often)

June 22, 2006

I added a new feature click THIS LINK and it will take you to another blog and click on the arrow. The sound quality is horrible as my phone was dying and I was half asleep. I will be using this every once in a while when I don’t have the time to post. Hopefully soon I will get rid of that and get a full pod cast system which will take about $150, so I have to deal with what we got right now. But I will hardly ever be using this.
