Patriots got another blow to their already banged up backfield Monday, when safety Eugene Wilson was put on injured reserve ending his season. In replace oddly enough the Patriots signed 33 year old Ray Mickenswho only stands tall at five-foot-eight.
Mickens played all 16 games last season with the Cleveland Browns after spending the previous nine years with the New York Jets , although he sat out the 2004 season with an injury. He signed with the Jets again as a free agent last May 31 but was released Sept. 2.
The pats now have lost Rodney Harrison and Wilson, with Artrell Hawkin, Chad Scott, James Sander and Mickens in their replace. Happy to say that all-and-all we have fairly easy games ahead with the teams combined recorded being 21 -27.
