King of Cassel

With Tom Brady only seeing a drive or today in these first couple preseason games, the Patriots will look to second year QB Matt Cassel to help put some points on the board. For Cassel this is his big shot to tell people he’s ready to be Brady’s backup, and he would also be sending a message to the Patriots to not go out and get a veteran QB. If you remember last year when Cassel was a 7th round pick who was a backup his whole college career, he came into the preseason and led the Patriots to a game winning Patriots drive when he connected with rookie WR Jason Anderson. After the game Cassel said he’s was tired and couldn’t even breath. Now, 1 year later I think Cassel could handle the job and secure himself as our # 2 QB. He’ll be the guy to watch this preseason and hopefully he does well.

Note – The preview of the Falcons / Patriots game will be done at 4:00 pm.
